[Breaking] Ministry of Health and Welfare "Increase in Resident Doctors Returning... 294 Back on Site"

On the 29th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that as of 11 a.m. on the 28th, 294 residents had returned to medical practice.

Based on data from 100 training hospitals, the ministry analyzed that 32 hospitals had at least one resident return, and 10 hospitals had 10 or more residents return.

Park Min-su, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, stated at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters briefing on the doctors' collective action held at the Government Sejong Complex that "It has been confirmed that there is a hospital where up to 66 residents have returned."

Vice Minister Park said, "We are relieved that residents have returned to the patients' side," and added, "Deciding to return was a wise judgment." He continued, "We urge the residents who have not yet returned to come back to their medical and training positions by today."
