Daejeon 'Hometown Love Donation Program' Additional Recruitment of Thank-You Gift Suppliers

Daejeon City announced on the 29th that it will additionally recruit ‘2024 Daejeon City Hometown Love Donation Program Thank-You Gift Suppliers’ from April 6 to 7.

The recruitment target is companies that currently have business offices in Daejeon as of the announcement date and can stably produce and deliver thank-you gifts. Only goods manufactured or produced in Daejeon can be supplied as thank-you gifts. The fields include tangible items such as agricultural and livestock products, processed foods, crafts, and industrial products, as well as tourism and service products that can contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

Daejeon City will make the final selection of suppliers after a review by the Thank-You Gift Selection Committee at the end of next month. Selected companies will supply thank-you gifts through the Hometown Love e-um system starting from April 1.

Companies wishing to participate must visit the Communication Policy Division of Daejeon City Hall during the application period and submit the relevant documents.

Other detailed information regarding the recruitment of thank-you gift suppliers can be found in the public notice posted on the Daejeon City Hall website.

The Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their place of residence.

Donors receive a full tax credit up to 100,000 KRW, and a 16.5% tax credit on the amount exceeding 100,000 KRW. Additionally, they receive local agricultural and specialty products worth approximately 30% of the donation amount as thank-you gifts.

Daejeon City plans to use the collected donations for welfare, culture and arts, and regional revitalization projects.

Kim Young-jin, head of the Communication Policy Division of Daejeon City, said, “We will continuously discover thank-you gifts to promote a culture of donation,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of many local companies.”
