Eunpyeong-gu Catches Two Birds with One Stone: Creating Jobs for Middle-Aged and Senior Citizens and Consulting for Small Business Owners

Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it is recruiting the '2024 Small Business Consultant' to participate in the customized job support project for middle-aged new start retirees and others until March 11.

The 'Customized Job Support for Middle-aged New Start Retirees and Others' is a campaign pledge of the 8th elected administration aimed at creating jobs for the middle-aged, established in response to the lowering retirement age and increasing involuntary retirements among the middle-aged.

Additionally, consulting necessary for store operations and other needs is provided to help support the management of small business owners. Last year, about 30 consultants directly visited and counseled 1,508 small business establishments, greatly helping small business owners reduce costs and increase sales.

The 'Small Business Consultant' positions are for candidates with more than 3 years of experience in each recruitment field, with a total of 23 people to be selected.

The recruitment experience fields include ▲ financial and tax areas such as loan consultation, sales and cost analysis, tax consultation ▲ labor areas such as Labor Standards Act, four major insurances, payroll statement preparation ▲ digital marketing such as advertising, promotion, and design production support.

Applicants must be born between 1955 and 1974 and possess relevant certifications or experience necessary for the assigned tasks. After document screening and interviews, the final successful candidates will be announced on the 21st of next month. The working period is from April to December.

For more details, refer to the announcement on the Eunpyeong-gu website or contact the Job Economy Division or the project executing agency, Impact Peoples Co., Ltd., by phone.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “The experience and wisdom of the middle-aged are great assets, and Eunpyeong-gu will be with them in their second act of life,” adding, “We hope many experienced middle-aged individuals apply and contribute to revitalizing the local economy of Eunpyeong-gu.”
