Support for Participation in North America's Largest Mobile and Wireless Communication Exhibition in Las Vegas, USA from 10.8 to 10.10... Recruiting 6 Promising Local SMEs... Online Application from March 4 to 18
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will participate in the largest North American wireless communication exhibition, Mobile World Congress Las Vegas 2024, held in Las Vegas this October.
A district official announced on the 29th, “We are recruiting local small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to pioneer overseas markets and strengthen corporate competitiveness through export activation.”
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is an exhibition related to advanced information and communication technologies such as digital content, smart health, artificial intelligence, and big data. It will be held from October 8 to 10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States. Last year’s exhibition attracted over 1,000 companies from 80 countries and was visited by more than 50,000 people.
The district, in cooperation with the Seoul Business Agency, will operate an individual booth (KOREA G-vally) at this exhibition and support participating companies with booth rental and installation fees, interpretation fees, per-company accommodation expenses (1.5 million KRW for airfare, 300,000 KRW for lodging), online pre-matching with overseas buyers, and strengthening IR pitching capabilities for investment attraction promotion. Additional costs such as participation fees must be borne by the companies.
Six companies specializing in mobile fields such as wireless communication and mobile computing, headquartered in Guro-gu, possessing information and communication devices capable of demonstration within the exhibition booth, will be recruited.
Applications can be submitted from March 4 to 18 through the application link on the district office website.
The district will notify the selected companies individually in March after evaluation based on product excellence and the potential for successful overseas expansion.

Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, stated, “At last year’s Dubai Information and Communication Exhibition (GITEX GLOBAL 2023), we achieved 238 consultations worth 14.67 million dollars and signed 9 memorandums of understanding, followed by an export contract with a Bangladeshi company in January. We hope many excellent companies will participate in this project, which will serve as a foundation for growth.”
