Navalny's Wife "Cannot Be Sure If Police Will Arrest Mourners"
The funeral of Alexei Navalny, known as Putin's political rival, will be held on the 1st of next month (local time) in Moscow, Russia.

Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya, stated in a speech at the European Parliament plenary session held in Strasbourg, France, on the 28th, "The funeral is scheduled for the day after tomorrow (the 1st)." She also claimed that her husband's body had been desecrated and added, "I cannot be sure whether the funeral will proceed peacefully or if the police will arrest those who come to pay their last respects to my husband."
Kira Yarmysh, Navalny's spokesperson, also announced that the funeral will be held at a church in the Mariyno district in the southeast of Moscow. The burial site has been decided to be a nearby cemetery.
Earlier, Navalny's family had stated that they had not yet been able to arrange a funeral location due to interference from the authorities.
