Actor Jaehee (real name Lee Hyun-kyun) has been sued on charges of fraud for not repaying money to his former manager.
On the 28th, Sports Kyunghyang reported that Jaehee's former manager, Mr. A, recently filed a police complaint accusing Jaehee of fraud. Mr. A worked with Jaehee for about six years. It is known that Jaehee borrowed 60 million won from Mr. A in February last year, expressing a desire to open an acting academy, but did not repay the loan. Jaehee also requested to terminate his exclusive contract with the entertainment company where Mr. A worked. The intention was to repay the borrowed money after receiving the exclusive contract fee from another agency he moved to. However, Jaehee kept delaying the debt repayment and eventually cut off contact with Mr. A in December last year.
After cutting off contact with Mr. A, Jaehee continued to communicate with fans by posting updates on social networking services (SNS) and was even appointed as an ambassador for the Jeju Island hometown love donation campaign, continuing his activities.
Meanwhile, Jaehee debuted in 1997 with the MBC drama "San" and gained recognition by appearing in the 2005 KBS2 drama "Kkwaegeol Chunhyang." His most recent works include the 2021 drama "Be a Meal" and the 2022 film "Immortal Goddess."
