Education, Care, and Play in One Place... Changwon Special City Opens 'Childcare Comprehensive Support Center'

Full-Scale Launch of Family-Friendly Complex Childcare Facility

On the 28th, Changwon City in Gyeongnam held an opening ceremony for the ‘Changwon City Childcare Comprehensive Support Center,’ a complex childcare facility built in Jung-dong, Uichang-gu, and officially began its operation.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 100 people, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon City, members of the National Assembly, city and provincial councilors, daycare parents, and local residents. The event proceeded with a congratulatory performance, progress report, commemorative speech, unveiling ceremony, and facility tour.

The Changwon City Childcare Comprehensive Support Center was established as a result of the ongoing need to relocate the facility, which was previously located on the 4th floor of the Women’s Hall Changwon Branch, due to aging infrastructure and limited space. To meet the changing childcare demands, the center was built with a total floor area of 2,964.1㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors, with a total project cost of 10.1 billion KRW.
