On the morning of the 28th, Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station conducted customized fire safety education for immigrant women at the Buk-gu Multicultural Family Support Center.
This education was promoted to establish a fire safety culture among multicultural families, which is increasing, by delivering the importance of fire prevention to multicultural immigrant women and providing customized safety education necessary to protect lives and property in emergency situations.
In particular, the education was conducted together with a foreign fire safety instructor to overcome language and cultural differences and to enhance the effectiveness of the training.
The education content included ▲ evacuation methods in case of fire (such as knowing apartment evacuation procedures) ▲ how to report to 119 (119 multimedia reporting methods) ▲ guidance on the use of fire extinguishers and practice with training fire extinguishers ▲ CPR and automated external defibrillator practice experience ▲ distribution of manuals tailored for foreigners.
Seo Won-nam, Director of the 119 Disaster Response Division, stated, "Through collaboration and communication with the Multicultural Family Support Center, we will do our best to provide experience-oriented fire safety education that can quickly respond in emergencies by overcoming language and cultural differences."
