On the 28th, SKT announced that at 4YFN (4 Years from Now), a side event of the world's largest mobile communication exhibition 'MWC 2024' held in Barcelona, Spain, it presented AI collaboration cases with SK Telecom as well as innovative ideas and technologies together with 15 AI startups hoping to enter the global market.
'4YFN' is an expo designed to discover promising startups that can participate in the main MWC exhibition four years later, providing a platform for exchange and supporting entrepreneurship. It takes place from the 26th to the 29th at Fira Gran Via Hall 8.1, where MWC 2024 is held.
SKT set up a dedicated booth within the 4YFN exhibition hall under the theme "Global AI Company, Collaborate with Startups." There, it introduced collaboration cases and ICT technologies with 15 AI startups discovered and nurtured through its startup program.
The exhibition focused on AI-based innovative technologies and services. The upgraded version of startup TwoArt’s visual assistance voice guidance service, 'Sullivan Finder,' enhanced practical information delivery capabilities by applying SKT’s multimodal technology. A. Sleep’s voice-based sleep diagnosis platform 'A. Sleep' is integrated into A. Dot (A.) to provide AI sleep management services. Other introductions included Imocog’s 'Cogterra' and Hudson AI’s AI-based multilingual dubbing solution.
SKT also showcased ICT solutions and nurtured startups aimed at promoting a global AI company. Services and companies addressing environmental and social issues were introduced, such as 'Dolittle,' a pet IoT monitoring medical system developed by Gentry; Parasta Entertainment, a specialized agency for disabled entertainers and content; and Watervation, an air purification solution company. The next-generation urine chemical analyzer 'Urine Check-IT' by D&C Biotechnology, co-nurtured with Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, was also exhibited.
Additionally, AI-based Korean language education platform 'BB' (H2K), which received ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) fund investment through SKT’s innovative startup support program, and the 5G autonomous driving-based mobility robot platform 'STEGO' (Seoul Dynamics) service were introduced.
Um Jong-han, SKT’s ESG Innovation Officer, stated, "We will continuously discover and nurture innovative AI startups that contribute to social development and prepare for the era of global AI companies through collaboration and growth support."
