Application for Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support
Expanded to All Age Groups This Year, Up to 300,000 KRW Support
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) will expand the ‘Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support’ project, which protects low-income groups from jeonse fraud, from youth last year to all age groups this year, starting from the 4th of next month.
According to the county on the 28th, this project was prepared to prevent damage and support housing stability, as damage from not receiving deposits back after the end of lease contracts has been increasing due to recent jeonse fraud and reverse jeonse phenomena, especially seriously affecting low-income groups.
The support target is tenants residing in Muan-gun without housing ownership, who have joined the jeonse deposit return guarantee (HUG, HF, SGI) with a valid guarantee as of the application date, with a lease deposit of 300 million KRW or less, annual income of 50 million KRW for youth, 60 million KRW for non-youth, and 75 million KRW or less for newlyweds.
However, tenants residing in rental housing of registered rental business operators under the ‘Special Act on Private Rental Housing’ and tenants who are corporations are excluded from the support target.
To receive the guarantee fee support, applicants must pay the guarantee fee to the guarantee institution (HUG, HF, SGI) after joining the guarantee, prepare the application form and other required documents, and visit the local eup/myeon office to apply.
The county will review and support the applicant’s account with all or part of the jeonse deposit return guarantee fee already paid by the applicant (up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW).
Governor Kim San said, “Through this guarantee fee support project, we will actively strive to enable low-income groups vulnerable to jeonse fraud to have stable housing life.”
