The gift boxes also included a supportive message from CEO Moon Hyuk-soo, asking parents to be a strong support system so that the children can have a healthy and energetic school life.

The elementary school entrance gifts are a representative welfare program of LG Innotek, operated as part of the 'life cycle customized gifts' along with childbirth celebration and college entrance exam support gifts. It has been given annually since 2011 to celebrate the first school entrance of employees' children and to encourage their new school life.

This year, the range of choices was expanded compared to last year so that children could select gifts they like. In particular, considering the diverse learning environments of children, tablet PCs were added as an option alongside the laptops provided. The timing for receiving laptops or tablet PCs can be postponed to the time of middle or high school entrance if needed.

Park Hyun-min, a senior manager of the Electronic Components Mass Production Purchasing Team, said, "My younger child was very envious after seeing my older son receive a gift when he entered elementary school last year, so I was happy to see my daughter smile brightly this year," adding, "I am grateful that the company carefully takes care of even the parts that the father cannot pay attention to."

Kim Eun-saem, a senior member of the Optical Solutions DM Startup Technology 1 Team, said, "Since I have twins, I always have to buy two identical gifts, but the company gave not only the necessary school supplies but also laptops as gifts, which eased the burden."
