Participation in the 2024 Seoul Living Design Fair
Cheongsong Baekja Exhibition from February 28 to March 3
The Gyeongbuk Cheongsong Culture and Tourism Foundation will participate in the 2024 Seoul Living Design Fair, a leading premium living lifestyle exhibition in Korea, from February 28 to March 3, showcasing Cheongsong Baekja, one of Cheongsong-gun's representative traditional cultural heritages.
Under the theme "Cheongsong Baekja: A Vessel Made by Nature Resembling Nature," this special exhibition will display approximately 4,200 pieces, including famous brand supply products, drama sponsorship items, new products, and the moon jars prepared over the past year. During the event, a Cheongsong Baekja exhibition and promotion booth will be operated alongside a special discount sales event.
Through this exhibition, the foundation aims to expand its customer base in the metropolitan area and promote cultural tourism attractions such as the "Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong-gun," Cheongsong Baekja Pottery Village, and more, contributing to the development of regional cultural tourism.
The exhibition will be divided into a showroom and a sales space, featuring new products reflecting modern food culture trends. The showroom will utilize burgundy-colored wall shelves and modern tables, along with a large dish cabinet. A specially made large moon jar will be displayed prominently at the front of the showroom, expected to attract visitors' attention.
Yoon Kyung-hee, Chairman of the Cheongsong Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "Cheongsong Baekja creates high added value as a core content of Cheongsong-gun with designs that combine 500 years of tradition with modern practicality. It has achieved sales records every year. Moving forward, we will strengthen our premiumization strategy and promotional marketing centered on the Juwangsan Tourist Complex to further enhance the value and status of Cheongsong Baekja."
Cheongsong Baekja inherits a unique traditional method of making white porcelain by grinding a white stone called "Cheongsong Doseok," which is only found in Cheongsong-gun, designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark. This Doseok was formed by volcanic eruptions and is a natural treasure born through 100 million years of adaptation to nature, which is why Cheongsong Baekja is called "a vessel made by nature."
