Jeongeup-si Plans to Establish Lifelong Learning Center in August with 2.7 Billion KRW Investment

Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is constructing a new lifelong learning center to provide learning opportunities open to everyone and a pleasant educational environment.


According to the city on the 27th, the lifelong learning center will be built by remodeling the building at 93 Chungjeong-ro (former Jeongeup Education Support Office) with a project cost of approximately 2.7 billion KRW, and is scheduled to be completed by August.

The first floor will be designed as lifelong learning program classrooms and a multipurpose room to meet the diverse and specialized demands of citizens' lifelong learning and to discover talents unique to Jeongeup.


The second floor will serve as classrooms for the region's top talent development project, and the third floor will be designated for youth employment exam preparation classes.


The annex is planned to be used as a bakery room, pottery room, music room, and dining hall.


Mayor Lee Hak-su stated, "We will repay the citizens by providing educational programs that meet their perspectives and the times at the lifelong learning center," adding, "We will proceed without delay to make the lifelong learning center a place that offers diverse and abundant learning opportunities and contributes to improving the quality of life."
