nugu, an EC fashion platform operated by Mediquartus Co., Ltd. (CEO Doojin Lee), which runs EC brands and sites, will open its second offline store on the 6th floor of LUCUA Osaka, Japan, on Friday, March 8, 2024.
‘nugu’ is an influencer marketing fashion EC site operated by Mediquartus Co., Ltd., selling influencer-selected fashion items and fashion and beauty brands leading trends in Korea and Japan. With 600,000 followers on its official Instagram account and 1.6 million MAU, it is achieving results beyond an influencer market and aiming to become Japan’s largest lifestyle commerce platform. From the second quarter of 2024, K-fashion designer brand content will be available through nugu’s online and offline channels. Active investments will be made to enable easy entry and localization of K-fashion designer brands into Japan via nugu, attracting attention from related industries.
nugu opened its first offline store in September 2023 at Shinjuku Lumine. The first store’s success, with lines extending outside the building from the opening day, has continued, demonstrating enduring popularity. Building on this success, nugu decided to open a second store in Osaka, where interest in Korean fashion is high, after nugu pop-up stores held nationwide in Japan ranked first and second in visitor numbers.
nugu has continued to grow since its opening in 2020, achieving a GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) of 5 billion yen in 2023, now in its fifth year. The site has 700,000 members, and customer interest in nugu remains strong. To reciprocate this, nugu is continuously conducting new projects both online and offline. Online, it launched the ‘Express Delivery’ service, and offline, it has started with the opening of this second store.
Regarding the opening of the second store, Director Hamin Park of nugu said, “nugu is opening its second official store. Osaka is a region with a very large number of active nugu users, and we were able to open thanks to a very good proposal. At the nugu Osaka second store, we plan to showcase various contents from nugu influencers and Korean fashion brand products. We will strive to provide enjoyable and happy content and shopping experiences for Generation Z.”
The March concept for the nugu LUCUA store is “Feel the coming of springtime morning.” It welcomes customers with an atmosphere that supports a shining new beginning, like greeting a spring morning. The flower-filled interior will convey the feeling of spring to customers.
Various opening commemorative benefits have also been prepared. On the opening day, tote bags will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, and special shopping bags will be provided to customers who make purchases. Customers who purchase over 6,000 yen will receive a pouch, and those who purchase over 8,000 yen will receive not only a pouch but also a notebook and tote bag as gifts. All gifts are limited in quantity and will end when supplies run out.
