Actress Kim Hyun-sook revealed for the first time the house where she temporarily lives alone with her son while waiting for the remodeling of the apartment she bought at an auction before getting married.

On the 26th, Channel A's 'Close Friends Tokyumentary - Table for Four' featured actress Kim Hyun-sook, who is actively working in theater and film. That day, Kim Hyun-sook showed a familiar side of her daily life, such as playing badminton matches with her 9-year-old son, rather than the glamorous image seen in movies.
Inviting close friends to her home, Kim Hyun-sook said, "Since everyone has children, we can't meet often. And everyone is very busy. I think close friends just stay in that place." Musical actress Jeon Soo-kyung, vocal trainer Park Sun-joo, and actor Kim San-ho visited Kim Hyun-sook's house that day. Kim San-ho brought a blanket as a gift for Kim Hyun-sook's son, and Park Sun-joo brought homemade salted young oysters and fresh kimchi from Jeju Island, which were warmly received.
As close friends well known in the entertainment industry, they continued their familiar conversations. Kim Hyun-sook said, "At my first wedding, Jeon Soo-kyung said, 'Congratulations on your first wedding.' Words became a seed," which made everyone laugh. Kim San-ho said, "I got to know her through the drama 'Makdwae-meogeun Young-ae-ssi' and I am one of the many younger men in her life," adding, "My first on-screen kiss was with her." To this, Kim Hyun-sook cleverly replied, "I kissed San-ho many times."

Kim Hyun-sook also shared behind-the-scenes stories about buying her house. She said, "As a girl head of the household, after taking care of the household chores, I looked for a rental house, but on a friend's recommendation, I bought a house in this neighborhood. I bought an apartment in Yongsan in 2008, but it was redeveloped," adding, "I paid off the loan in 2 to 3 years." She continued, "After the divorce, I lived in Miryang for a year and then moved to Seoul when my son started elementary school," expressing special affection by saying, "As a divorced mother, I am grateful to Hamin because, despite moving many times due to our circumstances, he adapted quickly and likes and is satisfied with his home." She also added, "Hamin may not fully understand the concept of divorce, but I think it is important to explain it clearly. If Hamin wants, he can meet his father anytime. That is why I am happiest now."
Kim Hyun-sook further explained her 'girl head of the household' remark, revealing that she grew up under a mother who raised three younger siblings alone after divorce. Kim Hyun-sook said, "I had love for my mother, but also resentment," and tearfully added, "After raising a child who is like a mirror, I realized, 'Mom raised me because she is my mom.' I came to fully understand my mother." She also revealed that her mother remarried at the age of 60, saying, "I am very thankful to my father. After the divorce, my parents' support was a big help in keeping Hamin emotionally stable."
