From January this year, electricity bill support increased from 14,510 won to 17,690 won
KHNP Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters will expand the support amount for residential electricity bills in the areas surrounding the power plant from the previous maximum of 14,510 KRW to 17,690 KRW starting from the January bill this year.
The electricity bill subsidy project is a program that provides partial support for electricity bills to residential and industrial power consumers in the areas surrounding the power plant, in accordance with the "Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants."
Hanul Headquarters plans to support residential electricity bills up to 17,690 KRW per month and industrial electricity bills up to 2,900 KRW per kW (maximum 200 kWh) within the total 3.9 billion KRW budget for the 2024 electricity bill subsidy project.
Lee Seyong, Head of Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, “We hope that the expansion of electricity bill subsidies during this period of economic downturn caused by high interest rates and inflation will lead to revitalization of the local economy.”
Detailed information about the electricity bill subsidy project for areas surrounding the power plant can be found in the support project data room on the Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters website.
