Activation of Technology Transactions Focused on SME Demand
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on the 26th that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2024 Technology Transaction Foundation Project.' Kibo is a dedicated institution for technology transactions and commercialization for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and since 2022, it has been implementing this project to expand supply and demand information within the technology transaction market, enabling companies wishing to adopt technology to explore and acquire excellent technologies.
Through this announcement, Kibo is recruiting SMEs to participate in the ▲Technology Demand Information Proposal (RFT) Construction and Advancement Project ▲Innovation Brokerage Service Promotion Project ▲Technology Transaction-linked Private Technology Valuation Project, respectively.
The Technology Demand Information RFT Construction and Advancement Project supports SMEs that wish to adopt external technologies by helping them prepare technology demand information in the form of proposals. Kibo plans to newly support 200 RFTs annually this year.
Additionally, through the ‘Innovation Brokerage Service Promotion Project,’ Kibo supports brokerage fee costs incurred during the process of SMEs adopting external technologies, and through the ‘Technology Transaction-linked Private Technology Valuation Project,’ it plans to alleviate the economic burden on technology-adopting SMEs by supporting valuation costs up to 5 million KRW per company when SMEs receive technology valuation for technology transfer or transactions.
SMEs wishing to participate can check detailed information through individual announcements for each project posted on the Kibo website and Smart Tech Bridge. Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, stated, “Through Smart Tech Bridge, Kibo provides customized technology matching services for promising commercialization technologies held by universities and research institutes, supporting convenient technology adoption by SMEs,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various foundation projects to comprehensively support demand, supply, and brokerage transaction environments and do our best to activate open innovation for SMEs.”
