Voice Recognition Upgrade for Controlling Multiple Home Appliances
Samsung Electronics will unveil the 2024 models of the 'Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Gallery' and 'Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Wall-Mounted' on the 26th. This year's products enhance energy-saving features and support voice control not only for the air conditioner but also for other home appliances through Bixby, without the need for a remote control.

The stand-type Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Gallery models all have an energy consumption efficiency rating of Grade 1 or Grade 2. They are also available as 'high-efficiency energy-saving models' with cooling efficiency 10% higher than the minimum standard for Grade 1. Additionally, the SmartThings app offers an AI saving mode that can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%.
Bixby is applied to all models to enhance voice recognition functionality. Samsung Electronics has been equipping air conditioners with voice recognition since 2013. This year, the function has been upgraded to allow voice control of other home appliances connected to SmartThings through the air conditioner. The air conditioner thus acts as a hub in the living room. In particular, for simple function controls, voice recognition is supported directly on the device itself without a Wi-Fi connection.
A new feature that detects indoor movement and operates the air conditioner automatically has also been applied. If no movement is detected indoors, the air conditioner switches to power-saving mode or turns off after a certain period, saving energy through 'absence power saving.' The 'absence drying' function dries internal moisture in the air conditioner, improving hygiene management convenience. The newly equipped AOD (Always On Display) function allows users to check indoor and outdoor temperatures, indoor humidity, and air quality even when the air conditioner is turned off.
The design of the Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Gallery is characterized by a unified single color from the front Wind-Free panel to the bottom. Bright tones are applied to the sides and rear to add a sense of unity and a clean design. The colors are released in four options to blend well with spaces: Essential White, Essential Beige, Essential Champagne, and Essential Gray.
The Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Gallery's retail price ranges from 3.2 million to 6.78 million KRW (single unit basis) depending on the cooling area (56.9~81.8㎡). The Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner Wall-Mounted is priced between 1.09 million and 1.71 million KRW (single unit basis) depending on the cooling area (24.4㎡~48.8㎡). Samsung Electronics plans to conduct pre-sales from the 26th to the 15th of next month on Samsung.com and Samsung Store, and from the 4th to the 15th of next month on platforms such as Coupang.
Lee Muhyung, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' DA Division, said, "Since its first launch in 2016, the Wind-Free Air Conditioner has evolved continuously, and now it has taken a step forward with energy-saving functions and Bixby." He added, "We will continue to innovate to improve quality of life through Samsung home appliances."
