Fans Request Signatures on Tottenham Retro Uniforms
Son Heung-min "Feels Like I'll Ruin It"... Politely Declines
Soccer player Son Heung-min, known for his excellent fan service, recently made headlines for refusing a fan's autograph request and the reason behind it.
On the 24th (Korean time), Sports Bible reported an article titled "The reason why Son Heung-min refused to sign a Tottenham uniform despite a fan's request."

The article stated that when a fan asked for an autograph on a 1990s Tottenham retro uniform, Son hesitated to sign it, thinking he might ruin a uniform that is difficult for him to obtain again.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Son politely declined the fan's request, saying, "I can't do that," and "I'm afraid I might ruin it."
The media outlet noted, "Since transferring to Tottenham in 2015, Son Heung-min has become one of the most popular players in the entire Premier League," adding, "There have been many heartwarming stories surrounding this Korean forward over the past few years."
They continued, "Judging by the fact that Son is holding a pen in the video, it is likely that he signed something else for the fan."
Son's polite refusals have been a topic of discussion before. When a fan handed him an iPhone asking for a photo, Son, who is a Samsung Galaxy brand ambassador, politely declined with his hands clasped. When the fan held up the phone themselves, Son posed for the photo beside them.
On the other hand, when fans handed him Samsung phones, Son personally took the phone and took selfies with them.
Son Heung-min is also well-known for his kindness toward those he works with. Previously, The Telegraph reported that Son hired a top chef to serve high-end Korean cuisine to the training staff.
In October of last year, after an interview, he shook hands with commentators and then raised both hands in gratitude toward the production crew after putting down the microphone.
Meanwhile, Son Heung-min is expected to start in the upcoming match against Crystal Palace next month. If Tottenham wins this match, they will move up to 4th place, surpassing Aston Villa.
