Enhanced Experiential Elements for a Differentiated Shopping Experience

Shinsegae Department Store Gyeonggi Branch is holding a customer appreciation event after completing a renewal that took over four years.
Shinsegae Gyeonggi Branch announced on the 25th, "To express our gratitude to customers who waited through the four-year renewal, we are hosting an event themed 'Shinsegae Blossoms' and offering shopping benefits."

Since 2020 until January this year, Shinsegae Gyeonggi Branch has been renovating about 14,000 pyeong (approximately 46,280 square meters), which accounts for 90% of the total store area. According to Shinsegae Department Store, this is the largest project since its opening in 2007.
Through this renewal, new brands and stores across all genres were introduced, and the shopping space was expanded by about 1,300 pyeong (approximately 4,300 square meters), improving the shopping environment.
Starting with the Sports Hall in 2020, Shinsegae Gyeonggi Branch successively launched the industry's first 'Basement 1 Luxury Specialty Hall' in 2021, and in 2022, the street fashion specialty hall 'Playground' targeting customers in their 20s and 30s. Last year, it opened a golf specialty hall and a lifestyle specialty hall, and completed the renewal this January by opening a men's hall filled with contemporary brands.
Considering the steady increase in young customers in their 20s and 30s and family customers, Shinsegae Gyeonggi Branch has increased trendy brands and experiential elements. A representative example is the studio-style fitting room at the golf shop operated by Shinsegae, where customers can directly try out and purchase golf clubs. The audio editing shop 'Sound On' within the lifestyle specialty hall allows customers to compare and listen to audio devices from 10 brands including Geneva, Sony, Marshall, and Bose before purchasing. It also features a dedicated listening room where customers can experience high-end audio brand 'Devialet' speakers firsthand.
Targeting the tastes of young newlyweds from the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), the lifestyle specialty hall has attracted curated shops such as 'BOE', 'Disamobil', 'HPIX', and 'Movement Lab', which sell European high-end brands, furniture, and accessories.
Several brands have also been introduced in the food and beverage (F&B) and fashion stores. On the 9th floor 'Tasty Garden', restaurants and cafes such as the Hong Kong cuisine specialty restaurant 'How Sum' and the ice cream cafe 'Brala' located in Daehakro have been gathered. American-style sandwich specialty store 'Lenwich' and Hongdae cafe 'Antique Coffee', famous for its cream croissants, have entered the market for the first time in the region.
The 4th floor 'Playground' is filled with about 40 fashion brands preferred by young customers in their 20s and 30s. The recently renovated men's specialty hall houses curated shops including 'Beaker', 'San Francisco Market', 'Silly Gallery by Sculpt Store', and 'Still By Hand by I.M Shop'.
To celebrate the renewal, shopping benefits will also be provided. From the 1st to the 3rd of next month, a gift event will be held where customers who purchase 300,000 / 600,000 / 1,000,000 KRW across all genres will receive Shinbaek Rewards worth 20,000 / 40,000 / 70,000 KRW respectively. However, for food and electronics genres, only 50% of the purchase amount will be recognized.
During the same period, the Shinsegae Department Store application will hold a lucky draw event that returns up to 50% of the purchase amount as gift certificates. Through a lottery, participants can receive a gift certificate worth 10% to 50% of their purchase amount, and customers who do not win will receive a 5,000 KRW discount coupon usable when purchasing 10,000 KRW or more at F&B brands.
