"Non-Emergency Patients to Local Clinics"... Gyeonggi-do Provides Guide to 748 Night and Holiday Clinics

Gyeonggi Province will provide information on 748 night and holiday clinics and hospitals in the province starting from the 24th through the provincial government website (www.gg.go.kr), call center (031-120), and the 119 Emergency Medical Situation Management Center in response to the doctors' collective action.


Gyeonggi Province explained that these clinics and hospitals were selected mainly from five medical departments?cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pediatrics?that could burden emergency rooms with visits from mild and non-emergency patients.


Additionally, Gyeonggi Province is providing real-time information on emergency medical institutions equipped with emergency rooms through the provincial government website, the Emergency Medical Portal (www.e-gen.or.kr), and the mobile app 'Emergency Medical Information Service (e-gen)'.

Earlier, on the 23rd, as the health and medical disaster crisis alert was raised from 'caution' to 'serious,' Gyeonggi Province officially activated its emergency medical response plan, maintaining a 24-hour treatment system at 73 emergency medical institutions and 21 emergency medical facilities.


Accordingly, six hospitals affiliated with the Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center extended their weekday treatment hours until 8 p.m. and are gradually promoting weekend and holiday treatments.


Furthermore, an emergency contact network has been established with city and county health centers, fire departments, emergency medical institutions, and the police, and the status of emergency medical institutions is being monitored to facilitate the distribution and transfer of emergency patients.


Meanwhile, as of the 22nd, among 40 resident training hospitals in the province, 1,568 residents from 33 hospitals have submitted their resignation letters. This accounts for 67.6% of the total 2,321 residents in the Gyeonggi area.
