Establishment of TF Team, Diversification from B2C to B2B Business
Expansion Focused on Safety Shoes and Customized Workwear
Kolon Industries FnC division announced on the 22nd that its workwear brand ‘BOLDEST’ will expand its business through business-to-business (B2B) transactions. The brand aims to become a specialized workwear brand focusing on safety shoes and custom-made workwear.
BOLDEST is the first domestic workwear brand in its fourth year this year. BOLDEST has introduced product lineups prioritizing the safety of workers in various industries, such as the 'Mechanic' line for automobile and biker repair workers, the 'Aramid' line for interior and exterior carpenters, and the 'FR Shield' line for welding workers. Last year, it also achieved a significant milestone with a 200% growth rate.
Starting this year, the business scope will expand from business-to-consumer (B2C) to B2B. To this end, BOLDEST established a TF team dedicated to B2B business within the brand. The B2B business will focus on high-performance safety shoes and customized workwear reflecting customer feedback. BOLDEST plans to challenge the specialized protective clothing market, which requires concentrated expertise, beyond just workwear.
This year’s products emphasize ‘unparalleled technology’ and ‘overwhelming safety.’ The safety shoe lineup has been expanded to three types: 'Voltex,' 'Combat,' and 'Classy,' allowing selection according to work environment and preferences. It features the application of 'Aramid Toecap,' a super fiber produced by Kolon, to maximize safety.
The FR Shield product line has also been strengthened. The FR Shield line protects workers safely when sparks fly. Previously, it was mainly released as apparel such as jackets and pants, but starting this year, the product range has expanded to include gloves, safety glasses, and face shields. For safety glasses and face shields, BOLDEST collaborated with OTOS, a manufacturer of industrial eye protection equipment.
Park Byung-joo, BOLDEST brand manager, stated, “In 2024, we plan to advance our business that spans both B2C and B2B by further enhancing BOLDEST’s unique technology and overwhelming safety. We will fully launch our B2B business responsible for the safety of Korean workers and change the paradigm of the workwear market.”
