On the same day, Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, presided over a meeting with relevant ministers on economic issues and discussed plans to introduce the remaining 527 tons of orange tariff reduction and low-tariff quota (TRQ) volume in full by February, allocate an additional 20,000 tons of tariff reduction volume for imported fruits by the end of March, and allow direct import by supermarkets, among other institutional improvements.
