'Medical Korea 2024,' the largest global healthcare and medical tourism conference in Korea, will be held next month.
The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the 22nd that online pre-registration is underway ahead of the opening of Medical Korea 2024, which will take place from the 14th to 15th (Friday) of next month at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Hosted by the Institute, Medical Korea, now in its 14th year, is an event that has contributed to the overseas expansion of Korean medical services and the attraction of foreign patients through lectures and discussions by renowned domestic and international experts, sharing the latest information on global healthcare and medical tourism, and government-to-government (G2G) cooperation. This year’s event will operate various programs including an opening ceremony, conference, business meetings, Medical Korea promotional pavilion, and G2G talks under the theme "Healthcare for All: A New Exploration Toward a World Without Barriers."
The keynote speaker at the opening ceremony will be Professor Jin-Hyung Lee, a tenured professor at Stanford University and founder of LVIS, a brain disease diagnosis company in the United States. He will provide insights into the utilization and scalability of digital technology in the healthcare industry and forecast the industry's future. Following him, Glenn Verboso, Senior Vice President of Intuitive Asia Pacific, will deliver the second keynote speech on exploring new solutions to current global healthcare challenges, focusing on the role of robotics and digital technology.
The conference, consisting of five forums including "The Present and Future of Digital Therapeutics" and four seminars, will feature a total of 52 domestic and international experts discussing strategies and measures to revitalize Korea’s medical service industry and the global future outlook of the healthcare sector.
As a related event, the business meetings will provide a networking platform between the domestic health industry, which seeks to discover channels for attracting foreign patients and expand overseas medical ventures, and overseas buyers, supporting the development of overseas markets. Additionally, the Medical Korea promotional pavilion, organized in conjunction with the Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES), will be set up as an experience center where visitors can try out the latest technologies and products from Korea’s digital healthcare industry.
Participation in Medical Korea 2024 is free of charge, and those who pre-register through the official website by the 12th of next month can enter the venue quickly. On-site registration will also be available on the day of the event.
