Students Participate in Facility Tours and Program Experiences for Medical Training
About 40 members of the Gyeongsangnam-do Education Superintendents Council held a meeting on educational office policies and agenda items, as well as an on-site meeting, at Sunshine Miryang Theme Park, the council announced on the 22nd.
After the on-site meeting, they also had time to tour facilities and experience programs for student medical education.

First, they visited Nature Ecoarium, where finishing construction is underway for its opening in March, and experienced in advance the exploration space deeply investigating biomimicry technology, the space showcasing the beautiful seasonal changes of the Miryang River, and the media art experience space capturing the autumn night and the Milky Way of Yeongnam Alps Jeryaksan.
An education office official said after touring the Ecoarium, “It is a space where everyone from young children to adults can learn and experience, and it felt like watching a movie.”
They also visited the currently operating Rural Theme Park, touring the smart farm featuring the latest agricultural technology, Eco Farm Village, an indoor playground where visitors can experience agricultural product production and distribution, and a cooking class where they can try food made from agricultural products.
Another official said, “We expect that students visiting the Rural Theme Park will properly learn about agriculture and experience cooking, which will help them appreciate the importance and value of agricultural products.”

Next, they stopped by the Companion Animal Support Center, where they received explanations about programs such as vocational education related to companion animals, cultural education, and interaction experiences for students, and toured facilities including the Dog Play Jungle, Cat Play Jungle, and the Amphibian and Reptile Exhibition Hall.
Officials expressed their expectations, saying, “Education about companion animals and direct interaction with companion animals (dogs, cats, mini pigs, reptiles) will greatly help students’ emotional development.”
Finally, they visited Yoga Culture Town to experience yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic foot spa. Participants praised the authentic Indian yoga experience for training body and mind and the Ayurvedic foot spa for relieving accumulated fatigue.
Attendees said, “We expect this to greatly help students relax their minds and bodies, which are tired from studying.”
Besides the facilities experienced that day, the Sports Park, where the Miryang Arirang Cup Amateur Baseball Winter League is currently underway, and the Farmers Market, which includes a farm product sales center and restaurant scheduled to open in March, are preparing to welcome guests.
When all six facilities of Sunshine Miryang Theme Park open in the first half of this year, it is expected to become a mecca of southern region stay-type tourism where students and family visitors can enjoy learning and experiencing all day long.
