A forest healing program will be operated to help stabilize the mental health of workers who have suffered industrial accidents and their families.

The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced on the 22nd that it will sign a business agreement with the Korea Forest Welfare Institute to jointly promote the 'Psychological Stability Support Project for Industrial Accident Workers and Their Families.'

This agreement was prepared to utilize forest welfare services in family programs for industrial accident workers so that they can overcome trauma caused by industrial accidents and return to daily life and work more quickly and healthily.

Accordingly, family programs for industrial accident workers will be operated for six months from May to October at five national forest healing centers and the National Forest Experience Center nationwide. Applications will be accepted from April after finalizing the detailed operation areas.

The Service explained that it had previously operated family programs on a one-time basis to help restore family relationships of industrial accident workers and plan their children's career and future, but through this agreement, the programs will be operated on a regular basis.

Park Jong-gil, Director of the Service, said, "The healthy return to work through the psychological stability of industrial accident workers is the most important role of the Service," adding, "This agreement will improve the quality of life for industrial accident workers and their families and contribute to the field of forest welfare."
