On the 22nd, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced a call for organizations and corporations to promote projects for spreading a culture of gender equality.
The areas of application include ▲projects to realize gender equality ▲projects for the protection of women's human rights, promotion of their rights, social participation, skill development, and workforce training ▲discovery and nurturing of women's small groups ▲family policy projects such as fostering healthy families and overcoming low birth rates.
This year, the total budget for the call for projects is 12 million KRW, and 3 to 4 organizations will be selected to receive support of up to 5 million KRW per organization. Eligibility to apply includes women-related non-profit corporations or organizations with their main office (including branches) in Anseong, as well as universities or research institutes planning to conduct research projects related to women's policies. Selected organizations must bear at least 10% of the subsidy amount.
Organizations or corporations wishing to apply can download the application form from the announcement section on the city’s website and submit it in person to the Women and Multicultural Team of the Social Welfare Division between the 11th and 15th of next month. The city will select the target projects through document screening and review by the Gender Equality Committee.
Last year, four organizations participated in the call for projects to spread a culture of gender equality, carrying out projects such as 'Cooking Classes for Single-Person Households,' 'A Pause for Women Workers,' 'Finding Balance Between Family and Work in My Life,' and 'The Whole Village as a Playground.'
