Inha University has launched the 'OpenLearn' service, an open online platform accessible to all university members, local residents, and the general public.
The Remote Education Support Center of Inha University's Future Education Innovation Group announced on the 22nd that it has started the open online platform service to provide practical and professional knowledge anytime and anywhere.
OpenLearn utilizes the university's excellent capabilities and resources to offer high-quality and verified educational content tailored to diverse learner needs. It also strives to build an open channel for creating and sharing knowledge through collaboration with external entities such as universities, companies, institutions, and experts.
OpenLearn consists of three courses: Open Courses, Professional Courses, and Internationalization Courses. To allow comfortable viewing of high-quality content, it provides Korean and English subtitle services and supports viewing and learning on both PC and mobile devices.
The Open Courses allow users to access various liberal arts lectures for free without registration. These include liberal arts lectures, Inha people interviews, and promotional videos. The Professional Courses offer specialized knowledge through online content directly created by full-time faculty members of Inha University across various academic fields. Users can register, take courses, and after completing quizzes and final exams, receive certificates of completion.
The Internationalization Courses provide native language lectures, Korean language courses, and native promotional videos for foreigners. Inha University expects OpenLearn not only to bridge educational gaps among social members but also to grow into a sustainable educational project in the future.
Kim Seunghyun, head of Inha University's Future Education Innovation Group, stated, "To ensure OpenLearn's independent growth and secure high-quality content, we plan to upload online content for micro-major courses from all departments." He added, "We will provide services tailored to user demand by collaborating with renowned institutions and companies both inside and outside the university to produce excellent educational content."
