Beauty platform company CTK announced on the 22nd that it won an award at the 'Makeup in LA' exhibition held in Los Angeles, California, USA.
CTK participated in the Makeup in LA exhibition held at the LA Convention Center for two days starting from the 14th, alongside about 140 global companies. During the event, the 'IT (Innovation & Trends) Awards' were held, where 11 judges tested over 110 candidate products and selected the most innovative and trend-leading products in four categories: ▲formulation ▲full service ▲packaging ▲accessories.
CTK's product 'Aqua Zero Sheet' won first place in the full service category. Another product, 'Super Moisturizing Cream,' and a gua sha tool were also nominated, attracting attention from participants and stakeholders.
The Aqua Zero Sheet is a cleansing product with a formula resembling thin paper that quickly dissolves upon contact with water. It does not contain water, which makes up 70-80% of cosmetic ingredients, thereby reducing its carbon footprint due to its light weight. It features environmentally friendly packaging made from biodegradable materials developed directly by its affiliate CTK Bio.
Based on a sense of responsibility towards the environment, CTK is leading the development of innovative products that are ahead in trends and usability. It is also receiving positive responses from the industry and market. The Bottoms Up Stick, which won first place in the sustainability category at last year's Hong Kong 'Cosmoprof & Cosmopack Asia Awards' for reducing plastic use, is currently being collaborated on with 18 clients and partners.
Jung In-yong, CEO of CTK, explained, "CTK Clip will continue to be a 'leader in sustainable cosmetics' by realizing ways for customers to easily access and utilize various eco-friendly and innovative beauty products."
CTK's sales increased by 28% compared to the previous year as it secured numerous new overseas clients through the CTK Clip platform business last year.
