On the 22nd, LG Uplus announced that it will strengthen communication channels to allow truck owners to directly use the freight transportation brokerage DX platform 'Hwamul Itgo' and propose improvements and supplements. By applying the customer experience innovation DNA that has delivered results across all business areas to new businesses, the company aims to secure a leading position in the freight transportation brokerage market.
Hwamul Itgo is a DX platform that matches freight brokers who receive freight transportation requests and dispatch vehicles with truck owners who directly transport the freight. Its strength lies in providing all necessary services for freight transportation brokerage?such as dispatch, transportation, settlement, and client management?within a single platform, aiming to digitally transform the middle-mile (B2B transportation) market, which is still mainly analog web-based.
The process consists of three parts: 'Meonjeo Itgo' for recruiting participating truck owners, 'Order Itgo' where truck owners directly operate through Hwamul Itgo, and 'Uigyeon Itgo' where users suggest improvements and necessary services after use.
LG Uplus plans to operate the program as a virtuous cycle by reflecting the opinions of truck owners who experience the platform and receiving further suggestions on the improved services to continuously enhance them. The program will be conducted three times in total until September.
LG Uplus is recruiting freight truck owners to participate in the program until the 31st of next month. Interested parties can apply by signing up through the Hwamul Itgo app and registering necessary documents such as vehicle information, vehicle registration certificate, and business registration certificate.
The Hwamul Itgo platform will incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Through this, the company plans to continuously improve customer pain points. In particular, based on LG Uplus’s AI technology 'ixi,' it will enhance functions needed by freight truck owners such as price calculation, route and dispatch optimization, and consolidation, aiming to secure differentiated competitiveness.
The development of the Hwamul Itgo platform was carried out in collaboration with logistics companies such as 'Gangdong Logistics' and 'Logistech.' Before the service launch, truck owners’ opinions were collected to equip the platform with a freight-dedicated navigation system that provides accurate road-based information for loading and unloading.
Kang Jong-oh, Head of Mobility Business at LG Uplus, said, "Those working in actual transportation sites are true experts with insights that cannot be understood through numerical data alone. Through this program, we will build a customer-friendly service that improves agilely and lead the freight transportation brokerage market."
Meanwhile, LG Uplus is holding a gift event for freight truck owners who apply for 'Meonjeo Itgo.' Regardless of participation in the program, all truck owners who sign up during the event period will receive a GS25 mobile gift certificate worth 20,000 KRW. Additionally, through a lottery, prizes such as ▲Galaxy S24 (10 people) ▲Starbucks mobile gift certificates worth 30,000 KRW (100 people) will be provided.
