Regular Recruitment Event on the 4th Wednesday of Every Month Until November, Departing from Gijang Station at 2 PM on Wednesday, the 28th
Busan Gijang-gun will promote the ‘2024 Hope Gijang Job Busking Activities’ once a month from February to November at local railway stations and other locations.
Recently, companies have been expanding their hiring methods by selecting necessary talents through occasional recruitment rather than large-scale regular recruitment.
Reflecting this hiring trend, the county will replace the ‘Gijang-gun Job Fair,’ which was held once a year in the lobby on the first floor of the county office, with the newly launched ‘Hope Gijang Job Busking Activities’ starting this year.
The ‘2024 Hope Gijang Job Busking Activities’ is a ‘Gijang-type recruitment system’ where Gijang-gun regularly visits major gathering places in the county once a month to hold recruitment events tailored to the ongoing hiring needs of companies. To ensure accessibility for participants and convenience in transportation, the events will be held mainly at multi-use facilities such as Donghae Line stations.
Starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday the 28th at Gijang Station, the events will circulate every fourth Wednesday of the month until November, visiting Ilgwang Station, Jwacheon Station, and Jeonggwan Senior Welfare Center, providing local residents and job seekers with ▲on-site recruitment interviews (agency) ▲employment consulting ▲job information ▲job offer and application submissions ▲psychological support.
In particular, to support the successful employment and mental health independence of job seekers who are physically and mentally exhausted from job searching and career changes, Gijang-gun Public Health Center will collaborate to provide on-site mental health counseling (depression and stress tests), blood pressure/blood sugar measurement, chronic disease management, and BMI measurement for obesity management.
Companies wishing to participate in on-site recruitment and interviews can join the event after coordinating the schedule in advance with the Job Information Team of the Job Economy Division of Gijang-gun. Job seekers who wish to apply for employment should bring their ID and fill out a job application form on the day of the event.
Additionally, detailed schedules for the ‘2024 Hope Gijang Job Busking Activities’ can be found on the Gijang-gun Office website.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “I hope this activity will serve as an opportunity to resolve job mismatches by providing companies with relief from labor shortages and offering employment opportunities to residents,” adding, “We will work closely with job-related organizations and local companies to actively support all job seekers until the day they find the jobs they want.”
Last October, the county successfully concluded the ‘2023 Gijang-gun Job Fair’ held in the lobby on the first floor of the county office under the slogan “Talent Up (業) Go!!! Job Catch (Job) Go!!!,” with 52 directly and indirectly participating companies and about 500 job seekers.
Also, companies in need of talent and job seekers can submit job offer applications (or job applications) anytime at the Gijang Employment Information Center and Gijang Women’s New Work Center located on the first floor of Gijang-gun Office, or at the Jeonggwan Employment Information Center located next to the Jeonggwan Administrative Welfare Center.
