Naju City in Jeollanam-do has successfully concluded the ‘2024 New Year Practical Education for Farmers’ with enthusiastic responses from the attendees.
According to the city on the 21st, this education was promoted to establish new year farming plans and disseminate new farming technologies.
With 1,200 farmers attending, far exceeding the initially planned 600 participants, the program included promotion of major agricultural policies, specialized technical education by specialty items, and mandatory education on the public payment system.
In particular, low-carbon agricultural technologies such as proper water management for rice paddies, pruning management techniques, and safe disposal guidance for farming by-products were disseminated to emphasize farmers’ practice of carbon neutrality.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “Above all, we will continue to promote effective education to improve farm household income.”
Meanwhile, the Agricultural Technology Center plans to conduct a survey among the education graduates and open and operate future agriculture development courses and specialized technical education courses by item for preferred subjects not covered in this education.
