Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee promised to provide maximum support for the normal school life of students at Gimpo Solteo High School, which was destroyed by fire last January.
On the 21st, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee announced this after inspecting the school site in the morning to discuss measures for operating the curriculum at Gimpo Solteo High School, where recovery is underway following the fire damage.
Superintendent Lim emphasized, "The Provincial Office of Education and the Education Support Office will make every possible effort to ensure that students do not miss classes ahead of the new semester," adding, "Above all, we will prioritize student safety and support a swift recovery so that students can return to normal school life."

Solteo High School suffered damage to its cafeteria and the piloti connecting corridor due to a fire on January 24. Currently, fire investigation is being conducted by the fire department and police, while demolition and cleaning work for recovery are underway.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to promptly proceed with recovery efforts to ensure that the new semester curriculum for Solteo High School students is not disrupted.
Additionally, as part of the measures for Solteo High School, the Provincial Office of Education has prepared plans including ▲ reviewing the use of available classrooms at Wonyu High School, scheduled to open in March ▲ conducting full face-to-face classes for 3rd-year students ▲ implementing alternating face-to-face and remote classes for 1st and 2nd-year students ▲ supporting student commuting ▲ guiding procedures for outsourced meal services after collecting parents' opinions ▲ and holding additional parent briefings.
The Provincial Office of Education also plans to hold weekly strategy meetings with Gimpo Education Support Office, Solteo High School, Wonyu High School, and other stakeholders involved in the fire recovery to check progress and share recovery status.
