Quality Assessment of Civil Service Through Direct Experience by Evaluation Team
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 21st that it appointed 11 members of a secret evaluation team for civil complaint response, directly involving residents, at the Palyongsan Hall of Gohung-gun Office to improve the quality of civil complaint administrative visits, and conducted preliminary training for substantial operation.
The civil complaint response evaluation team operates to establish Gohung-gun’s brand of kindness and integrity by ensuring that when residents visit the county office or eup/myeon departments, the responsible public officials greet and respond kindly, providing prompt and fair services to visiting residents, thereby promoting practical changes in civil complaint administration.
The secret evaluation team was formed by selecting 11 members out of 20 applicants who applied through an open recruitment from January 26 to February 7. Until November, the 11 members will conduct six undercover visits as residents to the county office and eup/myeon offices to evaluate the departments’ actual conditions regarding office environment, consultation attitude, greeting attitude, and overall satisfaction with civil complaint response.
Additionally, the secret evaluation results of civil complaint response visits, conducted for the first time last year, showed that 8.9 out of 10 visiting residents were satisfied with the civil administrative services.
Gong Young-min, Governor of Gohung-gun, said, “Please thoroughly inspect and evaluate how kindly public officials respond to civil complaints from the residents’ perspective,” and added, “We will use the evaluation team’s results as feedback to improve the quality of Gohung-gun’s civil complaint response services.”
Meanwhile, Gohung-gun is making various efforts to provide high-quality kind and integrity civil services, including ▲a visiting on-site happiness civil complaint office for vulnerable groups ▲operation of “Our Village Administration Officer” for application and consultation submission to administrative agencies ▲dedicated consultation counters for socially disadvantaged groups such as the disabled and pregnant women ▲operation of Unjudang, a space for service and communication ▲operation of civil complaint guidance assistants ▲and satisfaction surveys on overdue civil complaint processing services.
