BHSN Advances In-House Developed Legal Large Language Model
First in Korea to Introduce Long-Sequence Technology in Legal Services
Plans to Integrate into Services like Elibi by Mid-Year

AI-based legal tech solution company BHSN announced on the 21st that it is enhancing the quality of its AI services by advancing its proprietary law-specialized large language model, 'Legal LLM.'

Recently, BHSN launched a new cloud-based all-in-one AI legal solution called 'Elivy' and is expanding its B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) business. Elivy consists of two solutions equipped with a proprietary specialized AI large language model: Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), supporting corporate legal tasks through AI.

The core of this Legal LLM advancement includes ▲introduction of legal long-sequence technology ▲strengthening of legal-specialized alignment learning ▲enhancement of the legal database.

Long-sequence technology can process a large amount of data compared to general-purpose generative AI services and is applied in global big tech LLM models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Meta's LLaMA, and Anthropic's Claude. BHSN plans to be the first in Korea to apply this technology to legal services to improve work productivity.

Alignment learning is a technology to improve the accuracy of answers provided by generative AI services. Accuracy was enhanced through domain-adaptive pre-training (DAPT) and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF).

The database, which determines the quality of Legal LLM training and service, was also strengthened. BHSN combined publicly available legal data such as contracts, precedents, statutes, trial decisions, reports, and administrative rules with high-quality proprietary data developed by BHSN’s in-house lawyers to improve the performance of the legal AI engine.

BHSN plans to integrate Legal LLM into Elivy and upcoming services within the first half of this year.

Meanwhile, founded in 2020, BHSN is a B2B solution company that develops and provides all-in-one AI legal solutions, having supplied its proprietary AI legal solutions to major domestic companies such as CJ CheilJedang and SK Telecom.
