Annual Contribution of 100 Million KRW for 10 Years

Park Kwang-beom (63), CEO of Megagen Implant and an alumnus of Kyungpook National University, pledged a donation of 1 billion KRW to the university's development fund on the 20th.
On the same day, Kyungpook National University held a ceremony for the donation and presented a plaque of appreciation at the president's office in the main building. Starting from May this year, Park plans to donate 100 million KRW annually every May for 10 years. The donated development fund will be allocated to the 'Dental College Fund' and used for the advancement of Kyungpook National University's College of Dentistry. Since 2006, Park has already donated 755 million KRW to Kyungpook National University.

Park, who enrolled in the College of Dentistry at Kyungpook National University in 1979, said, "I made this donation with the hope that juniors will grow into world-class dentists. I hope that the university's research facilities and infrastructure will be supplemented and developed."
Megagen Implant is a global manufacturer of dental implant systems exporting implants and medical devices to over 100 countries. In December 2022, the company received the '100 Million Dollar Export Tower' award at the 59th Trade Day event. Recently, it achieved the top position in European exports for 11 consecutive years (based on 2023 data from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), setting a record for the longest consecutive export period in the dental industry.
