Boseong Police Hold Crime Prevention Strategy Meeting

Strategy Meeting to Maximize Policing Through Sincerity and Participation

Jeonnam Boseong Police Station (Chief Yang Baek-seung) announced on the 19th that it held a crime prevention and response strategy meeting among various departments to establish a safe community for 2024.


The meeting was attended by department heads, section chiefs, field officers, and police station chiefs, where in-depth discussions related to crime prevention took place.

The main topics included building crime prevention infrastructure to respond to abnormal motive crimes, community policing activities for problem-solving, resident-participatory crime environment improvement projects, and crime prevention measures through Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) tailored to regional characteristics.


Chief Yang Baek-seung stated, “The police will proactively identify residents' anxiety factors and carry out problem-solving community policing activities. We will meticulously identify the right places for responding to abnormal motive crimes and establish continuous consultative bodies with local governments to build crime prevention infrastructure such as smart poles and security CCTV.”


He continued, “I urged all departments to actively respond to eliminate security concerns demanded by residents to maximize the activation of resident-participatory policing.”
