Equipped with Patient Data (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
Also Promoting Overseas Expansion of Medical AI Software Linked with PACS
As the government considers fully allowing non-face-to-face medical consultations to prevent a medical crisis, related stocks are gaining attention. Expectations are also growing for Deepnoid, which is equipped with patient data (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
PACS is a computing system that converts and stores images generated from medical procedures, such as X-ray photos, in digital form for management. It is useful not only for medical staff but also for establishing smooth consultation and communication systems between doctors and patients. As the focus of medical business shifts from treatment to prevention, the demand for related imaging has greatly increased, leading to a boom in PACS. The demand for building remote medical consultation systems using PACS is expected to rise.
In Korea, the demand for PACS has increased following the wave of medical informatization in large private and university hospitals. Specialized companies like Infinite Healthcare have emerged, striving for overseas expansion after establishing themselves in the Korean market. They are expanding their customer base to regions such as China and the Middle East, following the UK and the US. The industry is diversifying with the emergence of companies like Pananomix and Advantech, which create PACS servers suitable for small and medium-sized hospitals, as well as specialized medical computer companies.
According to industry sources on the 20th, Deepnoid, known as a medical AI software company, possesses AI software necessary for remote medical consultations and interpretations. Since it also owns PACS, it is expected to benefit from the full-scale development of the remote medical consultation market.
Deepnoid has supplied or is in the process of supplying its PACS along with AI diagnostic and interpretation software such as Deep Chest, Deep-Neuro, and Deep Lung, developed by the company, to hospitals requiring remote medical consultations, including general internal medicine clinics, Korean medicine clinics, and nursing hospitals in Korea. For remote medical consultations, supplying systems and software to hospitals and clinics nationwide can create more synergy than supplying only large university hospitals in the metropolitan area.
Deepnoid is also promoting the overseas expansion of its medical AI software in connection with PACS. It is in discussions to supply software and systems to countries highly interested in PACS, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India. Deep-Neuro, an auxiliary diagnostic solution for cerebrovascular diseases, has been designated as an innovative medical technology. As the number of hospitals reporting its use expands, it is expected to help spread remote medical consultations by enabling future designation as a reimbursable item.
