Former Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team Member Son Yeon-jae Gives Birth to a Son
Also Donates 100 Million Won to Severance Obstetrics and Gynecology
Son Yeon-jae, who retired after representing South Korea as a national rhythmic gymnast, donated to Severance Hospital's obstetrics and gynecology department following the birth of her second child.
On the 20th, Son Yeon-jae's agency, Next Euphoria, announced, "Son Yeon-jae recently gave birth to a healthy son," and added, "Along with the birth, she donated 100 million KRW to Severance Hospital's obstetrics and gynecology department."
Previously, Son Yeon-jae had consistently donated to create a better society. She donated 50 million KRW from her wedding congratulatory money twice to Severance Children's Hospital and also contributed to Seoul National University Children's Hospital, extending warm and generous support.

On the same day, Son Yeon-jae posted on her social media (SNS), "I am spending happy times with my very healthy and adorable baby and my husband," and said, "I feel grateful to my parents once again. I feel like I have everything in the world. I hope all babies are healthy, and I will raise mine well." Regarding her decision to donate, she stated, "Through my childbirth experience, I realized that the obstetrics and gynecology department needs a lot of support, which led me to decide to donate."
The Yonsei University Medical Center stated that the donation will be used for the High-Risk Maternal and Fetal Integrated Treatment Center.
Meanwhile, Son Yeon-jae is a former South Korean rhythmic gymnast who ranked 5th in the individual all-around at the 2012 London Olympics and 4th in the individual all-around at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. In August 2022, she married a financial industry professional who is nine years her senior, and last August, one year after her marriage, she announced her pregnancy, attracting public attention.
