Shinhan Life Launches Exclusive 'FC Channel' for Vietnam Corporation

Shinhan Life announced on the 20th that the exclusive sales organization of Shinhan Life Vietnam Corporation, the ‘FC (Financial Consultant) Channel,’ was officially launched on the 19th.


About 320 people, including Shinhan Life President Lee Young-jong, executives, the Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, employees and planners of the Vietnam corporation, attended the launch ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.


The FC Channel of Shinhan Life Vietnam Corporation will be composed of a professional face-to-face sales organization with a high understanding of the local financial market. Through this, the plan is to provide FCs with opportunities to grow as financial experts and offer optimal insurance solutions to customers, contributing to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

Since its launch in January 2022, the Vietnam corporation has been implementing strategies to provide differentiated services in three core areas: portfolio, operating model, and sales channels. At market entry, Shinhan Life introduced its main channel, the non-face-to-face telemarketing (TM) channel, pioneering a new insurance market, and focused on sales through bancassurance in partnership with Shinhan Financial Group affiliates such as Shinhan Bank Vietnam and Shinhan Vietnam Finance, which had already established a foothold in Vietnam.


Starting this year, the strategy is to expand the market base and enhance market competitiveness through the face-to-face sales organization, the FC Channel, while laying the foundation for sustainable growth. Additionally, Shinhan Life plans to support the Vietnam corporation with the parent company’s insurance expertise and know-how in operating exclusive channels.


Baek Seung-jun, head of the Vietnam corporation, said, “Vietnam is a market with growth potential, and I am confident that the launch of the FC Channel will propel the Vietnam corporation to a new level,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that Vietnamese customers can feel the true value of insurance through professional financial solutions.”


Lee Young-jong, President of Shinhan Life, emphasized, “We will pursue growth together based on a win-win partnership, not just a company seeking profit, so that everyone can feel happiness and pride,” and added, “I hope we become an insurance company loved by the Vietnamese people, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese national economy and strengthening social security.”
