Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk is conducting a nationwide policy proposal festival contest that can breathe new life into agriculture and rural areas through various idea contests utilizing local agricultural and specialty products.

According to the city on the 20th, this contest, promoted as part of the Rural New Vitality Plus project, is recruiting various policy proposal ideas in fields such as production and distribution, processing, product development, tourism and experience, promotion, and content creation using local agricultural and specialty products.
The Rural New Vitality Plus Promotion Team of the city, the project’s driving body, plans to reorganize private organizations (with five or more members) within the region and strengthen their capabilities under the theme of ‘Taste-Style-Scent Industry Promotion,’ supporting a foundation that can commercialize and advance policy proposal ideas starting from them.
Anyone interested is eligible to apply, and applicants can submit their proposals by the 29th through the promotion team’s email or by visiting in person, referring to the announcement details on the city hall website.
If selected, the idea will be concretized through expert consulting and proceed with a testbed project (first phase support of 7 million KRW), and subsequent phased projects (second phase support of 30 million KRW, third phase support of 100 million KRW) will be linked to actively support private organizations to become self-reliant.
A city official said, “We hope that the creative ideas discovered through this nationwide contest will grow into core entities of the Rural New Vitality Plus project and profitable businesses, becoming a good opportunity to contribute to regional development.”
