Jeon Seung-il, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, On-site Inspection of Yangdong Market Commercial Revitalization Project

Jeon Seung-il, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, announced on the 20th that he conducted an on-site inspection of the Yangdong Traditional Market Commercial Area Revitalization Project on the 19th.

Following the youth startup store meeting at Yangdong Market in January, Councilor Jeon checked the operation of the youth store project within the commercial area revitalization project and the on-site business situation through a site visit. Meanwhile, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service (hereinafter referred to as the agencies) also conducted on-site inspections from the 19th to the 20th with external experts to review the annual projects and the execution of project funds.

Councilor Jeon stated, “Yangdong Market is a representative traditional market in Gwangju, and the youth store project plays an important role in revitalizing the local economy and creating youth jobs,” adding, “Through this on-site inspection, we will prepare improvement measures and continuously monitor the successful promotion of the commercial area revitalization project.”

Seo-gu Office signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Job Foundation (formerly the Gwangju Economic Employment Promotion Agency) in September 2019 to promote the project.
