STI announced on the 20th that it has successfully secured an order for CESS (Central Electrolyte Supply System) equipment for secondary batteries.
CCSS is equipment that automatically supplies various chemicals and is a core product of STI. The CESS equipment for secondary batteries is a type of CCSS equipment. While CCSS sales were mainly generated in the semiconductor and display industries, its use has expanded to the secondary battery industry along with solar energy. It is expected that the use of CCSS will further expand not only in the secondary battery industry but also across various industries in the future.
An STI official stated, "It is significant that CCSS, STI's core equipment, has received orders for secondary batteries rather than the existing semiconductor and display industries," adding, "Recently, orders for new equipment such as those for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) have increased, and as the industrial sectors for the existing core equipment CCSS expand, continuous growth is expected going forward."
