January 22-25 Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival Events
A venue for observing the full moon, Jupiter, and winter constellations will be set up at Changgyeonggung Palace.
The Changgyeonggung Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Headquarters announced on the 20th that it will hold the Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival from the 22nd to the 25th in collaboration with the National Children's Science Museum. A large full moon model will be installed around Punggi-dae, and visitors will be allowed to take photos from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. On Jeongwol Daeboreum day (the 24th), observation facilities will be set up around the Grand Greenhouse to help visitors observe the stars in the sky.
Any visitors who come to Changgyeonggung at night can enjoy the event. However, if it rains, snows, or the weather is cloudy, the astronomical observation events will be canceled.
During the event period, the Changgyeonggung Office will give away two integrated palace admission tickets through a raffle to those who upload photos taken with the full moon as the background on social media with the designated hashtags. For more details, please refer to the Changgyeonggung Office website.
