Report Large Household Waste Disposal by Phone Without Visiting Community Center... Service Available Weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will start operating a large household waste call center for residents' convenience from the 26th of this month.
Until now, large household waste had to be reported online through the district office website or the large household waste disposal service support app ‘Ppaegi’, or residents had to visit the local community service center in person to purchase stickers, which was inconvenient.
However, starting from the 26th, residents will be able to conveniently report large household waste disposal by phone anytime and anywhere.
The large household waste call center was one of the staff ideas proposed through last year's ‘Unnecessary Things Disposal Project’, expected to resolve residents' inconvenience of having to wait at the community service center and to improve administrative efficiency by reducing simple and repetitive tasks.
In particular, it is expected to greatly improve the living inconveniences of digitally marginalized groups such as the elderly who found online disposal reporting difficult.
At the large household waste call center, six counselors will handle inquiries related to fees, disposal number guidance, collection, and other related complaints from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
On-site registration for fee exemptions for large household waste disposal, such as for basic livelihood security recipients, will be maintained as is, and to minimize confusion among residents due to the changes, both on-site registration and call center operations will be conducted concurrently until the end of June.
A Guro-gu official said, “We will strive to ensure that the newly introduced call center is properly established and operates smoothly,” and added, “We hope for your great interest and use.”
