Geumcheon-gu Provides Customized Consulting for Small Business Owners... Up to 1.5 Million KRW Support for Facility Improvement Costs

Geumcheon-gu Provides Customized Consulting for Small Business Owners... Up to 1.5 Million KRW Support for Facility Improvement Costs

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting participating businesses for the ‘Customized Consulting and Facility Improvement Support Project for Small Business Owners’ to strengthen competitiveness until the 29th.

The consulting and facility support were planned to diagnose the difficulties and problems faced by small business owners struggling with management due to the economic downturn and to improve their management.

Professional consultants visit the business sites to provide 1:1 customized consulting. The consulting areas include management guidance (marketing/public relations, customer management, store operation) and specialized guidance (SNS, store presentation, taxation, sanitation environment improvement, delivery methods). Consulting is conducted 2 to 3 times per business, and the cost is fully covered.

Last year, 38 consulting sessions were conducted for 16 businesses (beauty salons, restaurants, retail, etc.). In a satisfaction survey, 15 businesses (94%) responded with ‘very satisfied (11)’ or ‘satisfied (4)’, showing high satisfaction.

This year, the support target will be expanded to up to 20 businesses. Also, starting this year, facility improvement costs will be supported for small business owners who wish to improve their facilities after completing customized consulting.

The support scope includes store environment improvements such as tents, outdoor signs, display racks, interior work, restroom construction costs, heating and cooling system installation, and intelligent ordering devices such as table order devices and kiosks. Up to 90% of the supply price excluding VAT will be supported, up to a maximum of 1.5 million KRW.

Small business owners operating stores registered in Geumcheon-gu on their business registration certificate and who have been operating for more than six months as of the announcement date can apply. However, businesses restricted from small business policy fund loans (such as entertainment establishments) are excluded.

The application period is until February 29, and applications can be submitted via email or by visiting the Geumcheon-gu Office Regional Economy Division. Final candidates will be selected based on the highest scores combining document screening and on-site evaluation. Results will be posted on the website on March 8 and individually notified. Detailed information such as application documents can be found in the announcement section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website.

The district operates the ‘Alley Economy Support Center,’ which provides phone and visit consultations to guide small business policies and supports business applications on-site. The district office website also runs a small business policy bulletin board and an integrated online guidance service for small business owners on the Daangn public profile.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “We prepared this project hoping to provide some help to small business owners struggling with high inflation and high interest rates. We will continue to promote projects to revitalize the local economy and create a Geumcheon-gu where small business owners can sustain their businesses.”
