Pukyong National University Hosts First 'Freshman Culture Festival' for Class of 2024

On the 19th, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-su) held the '2024 Freshman Cultural Festival,' the first official event for this year's new students, at the university theater.

This event, organized jointly by Pukyong National University, the Student Council (President Kim Min-jae), and the student councils of each college, is being held over four days from the 19th to the 22nd with programs such as orientation sessions for each college targeting the 2024 freshmen. A total of 3,621 students who were admitted through early and regular admissions are the participants.

On the first day of the event, freshmen from the College of Business Administration participated in the morning, and those from the College of Fisheries Sciences in the afternoon. On the 20th, the College of Engineering will hold its event; on the 21st, the College of Information Convergence and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; and on the 22nd, the College of Natural Sciences and the College of Environment and Marine Sciences. The College of Future Convergence and the Global Autonomous Major Department will hold separate events.

The event included an introduction to the university, guidance on academic systems, provision of various information to help students adapt to campus life, introduction of student self-governing organizations, and club performances.

Pukyong National University holds the Freshman Cultural Festival annually to help new students adapt well to university life and to provide an opportunity for harmony between seniors and juniors.
