Former U.S. President Donald Trump's golden sneakers priced at about 530,000 won sold out within two hours.

On the 18th (local time), British daily The Guardian and other foreign media reported that former President Trump personally introduced the gold sneakers at the sneaker expo "Sneaker Con" held in Philadelphia, stating, "I have wanted to do this for a long time. This is something I have talked about for 12 to 13 years, and I believe this will be a great success."

The sneakers introduced by former President Trump are sold under the name "Never Surrender High Top" for $399 (about 530,000 won).

Featuring a gold base with the American flag decoration, these sneakers are a special limited edition with only 1,000 pairs released. It is reported that about 10 pairs include Trump's autograph. The U.S. business magazine Forbes stated that these sneakers sold out within two hours. Denia Mitchell (20), a Trump supporter, praised them, saying, "The red sole part of the sneakers feels really cool."

The news of former President Trump's sneaker promotion came amid the Manhattan District Court in New York on the 16th sentencing Trump to a fine of $364 million (about 480 billion won) in a fraud loan lawsuit. At the sneaker expo, he showcased the shoes and said, "We will quickly restore this country, and we will remember the young people who showed interest (in the sneakers)."

The website selling these sneakers, "gettrumpsneakers.com," also offers sneakers named "POTUS 45" (45th U.S. President) for $199 (about 270,000 won). Additionally, a perfume featuring Trump's face and name is being sold for $99 (about 130,000 won).

However, the website stated that these products use the name and image "Trump" under a licensing agreement, and that former President Trump or related organizations are not involved in the design, production, distribution, or sale of these products.
