Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 19th that it is recruiting students for the first half of 2024 Women's Center education courses for residents of the county until the 23rd.
This Women's Center education consists of a total of 15 courses: 10 certification courses (Korean Cuisine Cooking Technician, Computer Practical Course, Tailoring Technician, Coffee Barista, etc.) and 5 hobby and technical skill courses (Western Knot Craft, Home Fashion, French Embroidery, etc.). The courses will be conducted over a 4-month period from May 4 to June 30.
Residents wishing to enroll can apply online through the Gochang-gun integrated reservation system. The tuition fee is 10,000 KRW per month, and basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent families, and registered disabled persons are exempt from tuition fees. However, material and textbook costs must be borne by the students.
Last year, 438 people took courses in 38 programs, of which 124 obtained certifications and 20 succeeded in finding employment.
County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “We will continue to strive to offer diverse and high-quality programs to strengthen the capabilities of residents and support healthy leisure activities.”
