Damyang Hanguk Bamboo Museum to Host Planned Exhibition of Bamboo Media Content

'The Four Seasons of Bamboo' Theme... Colorful Events to Celebrate the Opening

Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that it will establish a media content environment using bamboo materials in the first exhibition hall of the Korea Bamboo Museum and conduct a pilot special exhibition.

Prepared in collaboration with the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency since last year, this exhibition utilizes bamboo, a regionally specialized resource, to present a new type of exhibition that offers a comprehensive emotional experience through interaction, in addition to the permanent exhibition of the Bamboo Museum.

The special exhibition focuses on ‘the joy of experience through media,’ creating immersive content based on Damyang’s unique regional characteristics with stories such as ‘The Four Seasons of Bamboo’ and ‘Everything About Bamboo.’

Additionally, a commemorative event for the opening of the special exhibition in the first exhibition hall will be held until the 3rd of next month.

The first event offers free admission for two people per night to the first 1,000 guests who book accommodation in Damyang through the app ‘Yogi-ottae.’

The second event, ‘Eolreun Osio,’ provides 10,000 KRW worth of Damyang Love Gift Certificates to the first 100 out-of-town visitors.

The third event, ‘Spread the Word,’ rewards the first 200 visitors who post a review of the special exhibition on their personal SNS with a small travel bag on-site.

A county official stated, “Starting with creating an immersive experience environment through this media video special exhibition, we will transform the Korea Bamboo Museum into a changing and evolving institution. We ask for the active participation and interest of residents and tourists in this exhibition.”
